Microsoft Tears Down PDF, Yet Again

Shades of my past thoughts on Microsoft Metro!

Instead of Microsoft just lying down and dying under the enormously successful work Adobe has done in promoting an open format, they've decided to fight back in yet another way.

Microsoft is now doing two things at once -- they're fighting back by refusing to support open office and interestingly enough, promoting an alternative to PDF by pushing XPS.

I'll be interested to see which format will be successful! After all, PDF and WordPerfect have worked for a long time to work out the bugs in this field -- if MS just copies their best efforts, they'll have a document format category killer.
